Written by: The Visão Foundation Just because schools are out in Sierra Leone does not mean kids have to stop learning. Taking advantage of this short break before the start of the next term to help students strengthen their essay writing skills proved to be extremely helpful, especially since they aren't distracted or bogged down by schoolwork in other subjects. Writing an essay is a vital skills for students in school, but unfortunately many find it intimidating. This past Wednesday, August 5th, our team organized a free day-long interactive Essay Writing workshop to give students an opportunity to strengthen their foundation and enable them to become better writers. In just one day, students walked away with the tools to construct a well structured five-paragraph. A great big thank you to Yeniva Sisay-Sogbeh of Excel Sierra Leone for facilitating the workshop. Looking forward to the next one!
