There is nothing more powerful than gathering beautiful, smart women and connecting them with others. This past Saturday over 16 women gathered at Nelson A. Rockefeller park for our very first Ankara Girls Sunset Soiree The soiree drew women from diverse backgrounds with the goal of strengthening connections and the feeling of community, as well as raising funds to support our educational initiatives. Here are a few pics from the day. Enjoy!
Without a doubt, the evening was fabulous! The weather couldn't have been more perfect or the atmosphere more stunning. The conversations were enlightening, the food was ambrosial, the drinks were refreshing, the connections were meaningful and the outfits were on fleek. We could not ask for a better group of women. Adorned in their most colorful ankara outfits, the ladies arrived around 5pm to a scrumptious buffet laid out on picnic blankets and basked in the glorious summer sunshine. There was music, games and lots of fun. Towards the end of the soiree, Visao's Founder and Director - Liesel Renner thanked all the ladies for coming and shared more details about the work Visao does. It was truly a relaxing day for everyone.
A huge thank you to everyone that came and made a kind contribution. A very special thank you to our co-host Andie for recommending such a gorgeous venue, and to the ladies that contributed to our great selection of food. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next Ankara Girls Sunset Soiree!
